Manassas Park, incorporated as an independent city in 1975, is about 2.5 square miles. About 30 miles southwest of Washington, DC, it is bordered by Prince William County and Manassas, from which it is a separate town. To the west, its neighbor is West Gate. Though the majority of residents do own a car for transportation, Manassas Park also has a local bus that circulates the town. Major highways that are nearby include VA-28 and I-66.

Throughout the year, the city also hosts fun events such as the Manassas Park Tie-Dye 5k. During the summer, it runs a summer movie series where residents can vote for their favorite movies, and the top four will be played.

Manassas Park has a variety of fun places to eat. There are many chains such as Red Lobster and Longhorn Steakhouse for reliably good food, but there are also a few local gems for residents to enjoy.
If you’re craving tacos, Tortilleria El Molino, located on Centreville Road, is the place to go. The food is authentically delicious and surprisingly cheap for such great quality. The tacos sells for under two dollars and are made right in front of you. Expect it to be crowded during lunch hours, but the delicious food is definitely worth the wait.
Columbus Grill features American and Mediterranean cuisine. Owner Nuno Duarte has experience running restaurants in Portugal, Switzerland and the United States. His chefs, who have training in French, Greek and Italian cooking, further complement his expertise in Spanish and Portuguese food. There is something for everyone at this simple, yet intimate restaurant.
